At Jewar, a Metro Rail would connect Delhi's IGI Airport with the upcoming Noida International Airport.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to prepare a feasibility report for the project to provide direct connectivity between Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport and the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar via a metro corridor.

The projected Metro route will be built in two stages.

DMRC to prepare a complete project report for the 35.64-kilometer Metro project from Pari Chowk in Greater Noida to Jewar, where the Noida international airport is being built. A feasibility assessment for a Metro link between Pari Chowk in Greater Noida and Delhi's Shivaji Stadium has also been assigned to DMRC. This corridor will provide seamless access to Delhi's IGI airport via the airport express line of the Delhi Metro.

After nine months, work on the 35.64km Metro project will begin. This link would also see additional advancement after the feasibility report for the second phase between Greater Noida and Delhi is completed," he said.

Along with metro connections to IGI Airport, a spur link will connect Noida International Airport at Jewar to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

Despite the fact that only 7.5 km of the 31 km long spur route is in Uttar Pradesh and the remaining 23.5 km will be built in Haryana, UP has agreed to share half of the cost because it improves the Yamuna expressway region's connectivity and aids the growth of both industries and the upcoming airport.
